Smart Compose suggests the rest of your sentence. AI search turns a sentence into a Gmail search.
Both run on Apple’s on-device model, in both Supermail apps, on Mac and iPhone: nothing they read is sent to an AI service. They need macOS 26 or iOS 26 on a Mac or iPhone with Apple Intelligence turned on, in a language it supports. Otherwise, Smart Compose doesn’t appear and search works as you type it.

Your mail lives
on your devices.
Supermail is an email app for Gmail on Mac, with an iPhone app now in testing. You sign in on Google’s own page and give Supermail one permission: to read, compose, and send email from your Gmail account.
What it does with your Gmail
Shows your mail and searches it. Marks it read or starred, archives it, labels it, and moves it to spam or trash. Hides it until later with Remind me. Sends the email you write. It uses your Gmail only for features you see in the app.
Where your mail lives
Supermail downloads your mail straight from Google to your Mac or iPhone and keeps its copy there. There is no Supermail server that collects or stores your mail. We never sell your Gmail data or use it for ads.
Staff-only features
The public Supermail apps have no AI chat and no company connections. Finished Goods staff use a separate staff version with Krinkov, the company’s business system. The privacy policy lists what those send.
Supermail’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
